Charlé McCauley

How did you come to be involved with WQSV? And how long have you been involved?

I met Theresa Hoffman through my day job, and she somehow figured out how I always wanted to be on the radio and connected me with WQSV! It’s been a year of radio bliss!

What is the Community Arts & Events Calendar?

The Community Arts & Events Calendar is a way to highlight our amazing local talent, and connect our community with opportunities to engage, express, and explore the multitude of mediums of art in our SAW area!

What is the process for putting together each week’s announcements?

Many times I receive event details through email. I also consistently check out “Staunton on Tap” and love perusing through the Facebook events for some smaller local happenings!

On to music: what was the first concert you attended?

It was the year 2000, and 11 year old me was covered in glitter, butterfly clips, and lip gloss in the nosebleeds of the *NSYNC “No Strings Attached” tour in Atlanta. Sisqo and P!nk were the opening acts and it was Absolutely EPIC!

Who are some of your favorite musicians and why?

Well, I will always be the number ONE *NSYNC and Justin Timberlake fan, but I LOVE 90’s R&B and Hip-Hop! All of that music takes you back to a time where we glamorized love and authenticity, which is food for my soul!

What have you been listening to or watching lately?

I cannot pretend that the new *NSYNC song “Better Place” isn’t on repeat! And since my little munchkin is always in the car with me and has a flourishing love for music, we keep the “SING 2” and “Over the Moon” Soundtracks in heavy rotation! Although, when I get a little me time I am vibing to Bob Marley in preparation for the new movie coming out!
