Tree Planting – Youth & Adult Volunteers

575 New Hope Rd, Staunton

Join the Youth Volunteers Corps, the Lewis Creek Water Shed Committee, and the Tree Stewards at the new Staunton-Augusta YMCA property on New Hope Road in Staunton to plant 45 trees and 100 wetland bushes across 6 different planting days along both sides of Lewis Creek.

Youth aged 11-18 encouraged to attend and will help lead this endeavor by planting trees and bushes, making decisions, and learning about the impact this particular project will make on our local ecosystem.

Adult volunteers are welcome to attend and help plant as well, though the focus is to give youth volunteers leadership roles.

Come to one or come to all, bring some water, dress warm and wear pants, and we’ll have gloves to share!

Cancellation due to weather will be given within 24hrs.
