Staunton Emerging Artist Showcase

Staunton Augusta Art Center, 20 S. New Street, Staunton

The Staunton Augusta Art Center announces the opening of the Staunton Emerging Artist Showcase, running from April 5 – May 11 in the downtown galleries. This exciting and unique showcase features the multi-media artwork of over a dozen emerging artists, a next generation of local artists at various stages in their artistic careers who redefine the cultural landscape within their community. These artists reflect remarkable backgrounds and cross-cultural roots.

An opening night reception will be held in the galleries on Friday, April 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

This exhibition is proudly sponsored by the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro Habitat for Humanity ReStore whose staff and volunteers support the creative work of local artists and affordable housing.

Openings are FREE and ALL are welcome.

WQSV’s 3nd Spring Chicken Salad-Off

Ciders From Mars, 121 S. Lewis St, Staunton

Come join us at Ciders From Mars on Saturday, June 1 as WQSV hosts its third annual chicken salad competition! Three judges will conduct a blind tasting of Staunton’s finest salad submissions with a “people’s choice” award as well.

Think your chicken salad has got what it takes? We’d love for you to compete! The top winners will receive gift cards to local businesses, cool WQSV swag, and trophies/medals.

Tasting starts at 5PM, winners announced at 6:30PM
