Collage Paper Making Workshop

In this hands-on workshop at Art Hive, participants will learn how to make their own collage papers from scratch using simple materials, playful experimentation, and a process-first approach. We will explore layering, texture, mark-making, and color to create a personal library of papers that can be used in future collage, journaling, or mixed media work. This class is relaxed, intuitive, and beginner-friendly, with plenty of room for curiosity and happy accidents. Thrift & Flip Workshop

The Art Hive Thrift & Flip workshop invites participants to see everyday objects through a creative lens by transforming secondhand finds into something entirely new. We will begin with a guided thrift excursion to a local shop, where each participant will select one item to work with, then return to Art Hive to deconstruct, reimagine, and creatively flip it using a variety of mixed media techniques. This workshop emphasizes sustainability, experimentation, and playful problem-solving, encouraging participants to push past an item’s original purpose and discover unexpected possibilities.
