Thursday, July 3 at 7PM it’s The Norms at Ciders From Mars Get your Independence Day pre-game on with The Norms Assembled in 2022, the quartet of Ben Leonard (bass), Mark Piper (drums, percussion), Dan Hall (keys, guitar), and Caleb Dance (sax, flute) channel their collective energy to produce an infectious and danceable take on what they’ve termed “discodelic space funk.” This jazz-adjacent retro-futuristic sound draws as much from ’70s Fusion and Disco as it does from French House and classic ’80s R&B.
